 Fragile dial window Mar 01, 2010
I bought the watch a month ago and I have been using for work and leisure. Today I was very surprised when I dropped to the ground from a height of 1 meter and simply destroyed the mineral glass! The surprise and disappointment were great with the fragility of the dial window.

I originally bought the Silver or stainless model of this watch. The indigo light went out after two months. Amazon told me they would credit my account for the full amount of purchase and no need to return it. I immediately ordered this watch (black)because I did like it better as it has more pizzaz on my wrist. Got my new watch and got the credit. Thank you Amazon and your customer service is outstanding for this transaction.
New watch keeps accurate time, is waterproof as I swim a lot and is easy to setup for the time. I don't really use the chrono features but do love the indigo night light feature. The leather band looks good and the swimming and showers do not seem to hurt it. In time the band will fail, so I will buy a new band or a new watch as the costs are low for an excellent product. Remember, a watch is made basically to keep accurate time and to decorate your wrist. This new one does it in spades.

I can't believe I trusted that TIMEX would produce a decent quality watch. The finish is horrible, all glossy black instead of the matte black you see in the picture, the quality of the strap is awful, looks like it was made by a blind guy in Sri Lanka it's not even sewn together it's glued. The face is also glossy y messes up the look and it is too thick and the diameter is too small.
Bottom Line.....it's worth 30 bucks AT BEST.

The good...........
Alarm, intuitive to set and very LOUD! This will wake you in the morning.
Very accurate time keeping.
Indiglo nite light, love that feature.
A great looking watch.
Dislikes.........
The leather band it came w/(too thick, too narrow, ((my preferences). Switched to a rubber dive strap problem solved.
Lume on hands and hour markers, very poor. But its got indiglo so who cares.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the second hand sweep for the chrono isn't perfectly aligned at the 12 o'clock position and is subseqently off thru its count-down. No big deal but I wish it were aligned.

I liked the looks of this watch and the reasonable price, but couldn't decide between the black or the white model, so I ordered both. Neither of them worked correctly. The black watch had a DOA indiglo light. On both watches the chronograph would not reset automatically. Another reviewer recommended hitting the button at just the right moment to stop it. Come on, that is not the way it's supposed to work. The instructions clearly state that it will reset to the proper position by itself.
In addition, the date can only be advanced by moving the hour hand a full 24 hours for each day you want to advance. I've had date watches for more than 40 years and the last time I saw that was in 1965.
On the other hand, if you're not bothered by the above it is a very attractive watch at a reasonable price. I almost kept the white one anyway, but decided to send them both back.
