Practical & stylish, perfct for all my activities Mar 06, 2010 I've been very impressed with this watch. The features are everything I need for my everyday life, and some I have come to not be able to live without! I use the stopwatch all the time, from the kitchen to my art studio to the kitchen. The hourly chime is nice and clear and helps me keep track of time during long, busy work days, although my husband says it is at a frequency that sounds like it rings in his nerves (though not unpleasantly, just that it feels "weird")... The hourly chime does seem to be louder than the alarm, although I have had no problem waking up to it. The alarm is a more charming chime tune, rather than the old style "beep-beep-beep" of my old watch, so it is definitely nicer to wake up to.
The ability to be able to set multiple alarms is nice, I now have one set repeating for weekdays, another time for weekends and a third one for odd times too. The countdown timer is useful in both my work and sports, as well as helping me to not go too overboard on the internet!
Multiple time zones are a big plus for me, and likely for any traveler, and/or person who has family in a different time zone.
Style wise, I think the watch is big enough to be clear, visible and practical looking, whilst being not overly clunky, especially on a small wrist. The strap doesn't get all sweaty, and molded to the shape of my wrist quickly, making it even more comfortable.
Overall, the watch is nice enough for me to wear to work, both in the studio and office, as well as on the sports field, training grounds, gym, and wherever else my weekends in the outdoors get me.
I did note that the watch band was not as pristine white as it is in the photo, but very slightly more creamy-grey off-white. I still rate this watch 5 stars for being absolutely awesome. Great value for $.
Oh, and the Indiglo feature is wicked cool!
Band comming off Mar 02, 2010 Loved this watch but after only 5 months of wear (worn everyday) the band is coming off.
Some are good, some are not Feb 27, 2010 I've had quite a few of these over the years -- they are reasonably priced and, when they don't get water-logged, they work well. I like their size (not too big or clunky for my slender wrist), and the functions are pretty intuitive. I have found some of them leak, particularly at high altitude (such as Lake Tahoe area), so I've returned a couple and thrown out a couple. Also, over time and in the chlorine, the bands start to turn greyish/greenish and the color scrapes off the watch a bit -- not show stoppers but a bummer. Still, I recommend this watch and will likely replace my current one with the same because it's still the best I've found for the price.
Love the sleeker look! Feb 11, 2010 I've had several Ironman Triathalon watches over the years as they've always performed well and water resistance is great as long as you're on the original battery (once case is opened to replace battery, water resistance is reduced). Having a smaller frame, I love the sleeker look to this model...it doesn't look nearly as bulky or as masculine as prior versions. Set up and navigation through the various modes is easy.
Very functional watch! Feb 05, 2010 This watch has more than served it's intended purpose. It's sleek, feminine design allows for a comfortable fit and the neutral color is great for being inconspicuous with dressier clothes during the day. It's an all-purpose product, which makes it great to me! I highly recommend this watch!
